Bikini Bottom is the main location of where the show almost always takes place.

Overview
The city of Bikini Bottom usually has buildings made out of steel, the buildings are based off of how there's steel in the ocean, also, the city's economy is modeled off of the US in a few ways, such as similar laws, although they tighten the punishment for littering (sometimes you can go to jail for littering in Bikini Bottom) or reading someone's diary.
