Man Ray is a character who is the arch-nemesis of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. Man Ray is often regarded as being one of the more difficult foes that Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy face. This is aided in that in "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy III" he is frozen in tartar sauce. In the episode, he deceives SpongeBob and Patrick into freeing him from the tartar sauce. However, he is unable to harm them due to the Tickle belt.
