Jellyfishing is a sport and hobby where a person chases after jellyfish and attempts to catch them, and then proceed to release them. SpongeBob and Patrick both jellyfish as a hobby. The equipment used for jellyfishing is generally just a Jellyfish net and protective glasses.

Jellyfishing can be traced back to prehistoric times, the founder of jellyfishing is revealed to ve Squidward Tentacles as shown in the episode "SB-129".
